Theatre Victoria has a reputation of bringing high quality performances to the Crossroads area. Dedicated individuals make it their job to enhance the performing arts in the area. Next month, Theatre Victoria will produce “The Odd Couple” for the viewing pleasure of the Crossroads. “The Odd Couple” is a play written by Neil Simon and premiered on Broadway in 1965 and later became a successful film and television series. The story revolves around a pair of mismatched roommates. According to Interim Executive Director Michael Teer this production is a classic comedy and as a result of a survey done to find out what the public would like to see, this production was one of the public’s choices. Theatre Victoria has produced the male version of “The Odd Couple” many years ago and just a few years ago, Theatre Victoria produced the female version. It is a timeless classic for all audiences. Rehearsals for the production started on January 8. “We have a super cast,” declares Director Lori Bryan. “I’m very excited with working with them. They are very talented. I think they are going to do wonderfully…They were impressive at auditions. Some I have worked with before and some are brand new. Walter has been around the longest and this is Bryanne’s first show with us! Like all our shows, our intention is to have fun bringing the production to life and passing that on to our audiences.” The cast members are Trevor Balmer (Oscar Madison);
Henry Emiliano (Vinnie); Bryanne Hamilton (Gwendolyn Pigeon); Mark Kurtz (Roy); Luke Maier (Murray); Heather Roberts (Cecily Pigeon); Randy Watchel (Felix Unger); Walter Womack (Speed) and Nora Alexander will be stage manager.
